    1918

    Thomas Hargreaves Geddes and Eugene Desnoes formed Desnoes and Geddes Company limited. Setting the stage for the historic inception of Red Stripe Beer.

      1928

      The first Red Stripe branded beer was brewed and becomes a milestone in Jamaican history.

        1938

        Peter Desnoes and Paul Geddes take over the family business. Red Stripe Beer has tapped into the core of the Jamaican psyche.

          1962

          Jamaica gained independence from Britain. Many Red Stripe beers were consumed.

            1970

            Desnoes and Geddes becomes a publicly traded company. Red Stripe is now synonymous with all things Jamaican.

              1971

              The Red Stripe stubby bottle was introduced.

                2003

                Red Stripe beer receives a gold medal in the Monde Selection. Red Stripe Light wins the Silver Medal.

                  2005

                  For the first time ever. Red Stripe beer export volume exceeds domestic volume and consumption.

                    2015

                    Red Stripe becomes part of the Heineken family.

                      2022

                      Red Stripe won a Gold medal in the 2022 Monde Selection. This is the 15th Medal the beer has won over x years.
